Troy Fields is our resident of the month. Troy and his lovely wife, Beulah, joined our family nine months ago. Troy is likely to greet you “hello” in German. He served in the South Pacific during his time in the Navy. Legend has it, Troy is the oldest WWII veteran from Bracken Co. Troy worked many years for Clyde’s Superstore in the meat department. He and Beulah have been married for 73 years. If you ask him, he will tell you that was the smartest thing he ever did. He and Beulah are blessed with a wonderful family who love and support them. Troy is unique in the fact he was a leap year baby. So, technically, he would be about 25...not the 98 that we say he is. He celebrates his birthday on March 1st on non-leap years. Troy is a very kind, considerate, and funny man. He keeps the love of the Lord in his heart and has lived his life accordingly. Take time to say hello to Troy. You will enjoy his wittiness and pleasant demeanor. We are so blessed to call Troy (and Beulah) family.
