In August, Kenton Pointe Assisted Living conducted 'Fair Days'. During this event, we hosted a “fair day” lunch where Gerald Woods was kind enough to bring his dad’s (Charles Woods) calliope to play it for the residents while they enjoyed some delicious fair food. He played a variety of songs that we found ourselves playing name that tune with. Gerald shared with us that his dad use to take it to all the parades in the area to share with the community. He and his siblings have kept the tradition going by offering to still share it when they can. Thank you to the Charles Woods’ family for making it possible for us to experience this amazing music.
